Originally a prestigious 300 hundred-acre vineyard and working ranch with prized trotters, the lush 19th century estate has been transformed into a luxurious inn and spa, receiving rave reviews and guest comments. Click here to read a sampling.

Each of the Inn's 64 rooms and suites are individually appointed with designer furnishings, down comforters and custom linens. Ten rooms are located in the Manor House, the property's original residence built in the 1850's. The Inn's 29 suites offer fireplaces, king-sized beds, original art, hydrotherapy tubs or rain showers, wet bars, flat-panel televisions, and DVD players with six-speaker surround sound.

MacArthur Place is set among seven acres of spectacular gardens filled with original sculpture. Flagstone walkways lead guests past hedgerows, fountains and benches to a heated pool and whirlpool. The Garden Spa at MacArthur Place offers over 40 different massage, facial and body treatments utilizing the flowers, herbs and plants found in the garden.

Dining is a special experience at MacArthur Place. Located in the beautifully restored historic barn on the estate, Saddles is consistently named the wine country's best steakhouse.

Dear Friends of MacArthur Place,

Thank you for all the well wishes, messages, and concern we’ve received. We are humbled and grateful.

The wildfires that swept through the North Bay have shown the wonderful heart and resilience within our community. We are lucky that our historic Sonoma Plaza, our hotel and our staff and their families are safe, and that the City of Sonoma didn’t sustain any damage from the fires. While we are thankful for our good fortune, we still have much work to do to get our community strong again and our thoughts are with those who were impacted.

Many of you have asked how to help. The simplest way is to continue to buy our wines, eat our food, and visit our establishments. Macarthur Place and Sonoma are open for business and our staff is eager to welcome our guests back. We’re also extending discounted rates for first responders and those who’ve been impacted and are actively reaching out to community members to assist in their recovery. Please call us for details.

Lastly, our deepest gratitude and appreciation goes out to the thousands of emergency responders, firefighters, and volunteers who have risked their lives to protect others. Our passion for this land and love of its people have grown immensely through this tragedy.

From Sonoma with Love,
The Macarthur Place Team
