As a valued guest of MacArthur Place, we’ve partnered with our local wine country experts Bohemian Highway Travel Co and Foley Food & Wine Society to provide priority access to one-of-a-kind wine tasting excursions offering fine wines and vineyard views within beautiful Sonoma and Napa wine country.
Half Day Excursions:
Roots of Sonoma
Begin your day in the elegant surroundings of Chateau St. Jean while you relax and enjoy the sweeping vineyard views off the patio or in the richly wood-paneled rooms of the chateau. Up next, experience the nuances of Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignons at the historic Sebastiani Vineyards & Winery including the acclaimed Cherryblock vineyard planted in 1961.
Roots of Sonoma package includes:
- Transportation in a Land Rover Defender or luxury SUV
- Tasting fees and experiences at Chateau St. Jean & Sebastiani Vineyards & Winery
- Private host with in-depth knowledge of the local wine region.

Full Day Excursions:
Napa Cabernet Excursion
At Foley Johnson, taste Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons with highlights from the portfolio including limited, library vintages. At Silverado Vineyards taste from two of Napa Valley’s renowned Cabernet appellations, while enjoying sweeping vineyard views of the Stags Leap District as you enjoy a private, gourmet lunch prepared especially for you by the winery Chef. At your private visit to Merus Wines, you will be guided through the aging caves and begin your tasting with the latest vintage direct from the barrel. As you continue the experience, you will taste 5 more vintages of Merus critically acclaimed Cabernet Sauvignon while enjoying an artisan cheese and charcuterie platter prepared especially for you.
Napa Cabernet Immersion package includes:

Healdsburg Al Fresco
At Ferrari-Carano experience a delightfully satisfying 3-course food and wine pairing featuring handcrafted, seasonal small bites in the underground cellar Enoteca. At Chalk Hill Estate, Chef has uniquely designed this elevated country classic of a Fried Chicken and Caviar lunch to expertly pair with Chalk Hill’s renowned Estate Chardonnay. Then at Lancaster Estate we invite you for an exclusive hillside winery cave tour and intimate tasting that highlights our unique winery library and our detailed barrel aging process.Healdsburg Al Fresco package includes:

Bespoke Wine Country Experience
Local wine experts, Bohemian Highway Travel Co, have partnered with MacArthur Place to provide the perfect introduction to the Sonoma & Napa wine growing regions, with its many grape varietals, sustainable practices, and longtime locals who’ve been quietly growing grapes and making wine for generations. Combined with lunch at a local gathering place or an al-fresco picnic, experience the best of wine country.
Bespoke Wine Country Experience package includes:
- Bespoke itinerary curation (based on your wine preferences)
- Transportation in a Land Rover Defender or luxury SUV
- Tasting fees and insider access at two small family owned wineries
- Al-fresco chef prepared picnic or lunch at a local favorite restaurant (dietary restrictions can be accommodated)
- Private host with in-depth knowledge of the local wine region. Host will facilitate stops at culinary & scenic points of interest along the way.
- Average tour time is six (6) hours
- Gratuity for the driver

Bohemian Highway Travel Co. will contact you shortly after booking to learn more about any wine preferences as well as your preferred tour date during your MacArthur Place stay. All guests must be at least 21 years of age.
Cancellation Policy & Terms:
- All cancellations or reschedules must be made prior to 14 days of your tour date.
- Bohemian Highway Travel Co. retains the full payment amount for no-shows or cancellations made within the 14 days of a scheduled tour.
- In the case of inclement weather, Bohemian Highway Travel Co. reserves the right to modify, shorten, or cancel any tour to prevent damage to vehicles or avoid unsafe conditions. Partial refunds, or the option to re-book, will be provided if we’re unable to run an excursion due to bad weather or other cancellations on behalf of Bohemian Highway.
- Bohemian Highway drivers have the ability at any time to end a tour due to overconsumption of alcohol and related illnesses.
- We are able to welcome only service dogs on our tours at this time due to health code restrictions in Sonoma County.
