Located in the town of Sonoma, just 45 minutes from San Francisco, MacArthur Place is a luxurious wine country getaway situated on a lush historic country estate with 64 elegant rooms and suites. Our Garden Spa features many different packages for you as well as your wedding party and guests. We also have a heated pool and whirlpool, six acres of spectacular gardens and award-winning dining.

MacArthur Place has a capacity for up to 120 guests, depending on location, for rehearsal dinners and wedding brunches and 125 for wedding ceremonies. If you are looking for an intimate event just for the two of you, click here for information on our Elopement Package.

Our country estate offers a variety of unique and beautiful spaces for your event, and our Chef’s menus offer a variety of culinary options.


MacArthur Place has 33 guestrooms and 31 suites, including spa and cabana suites and individual cottages.


MacArthur Place is located in a residential area of Sonoma. In consideration of our hotel guests and neighbors, we request there be no overly amplified music in our outdoor venues. MacArthur Place will work with you to ensure that music will be appropriate for the setting.


For items that are not available from our banquet inventory such as specialty linens, glassware, heaters, specialty chairs, or other items, there will be an additional rental charge to the wedding party plus a handling fee. Rental items must be billed through our catering department. Your special events planner will discuss in detail all aspects of the event for your approval.


Complimentary on-site parking is limited, however, ample on-street parking is available on adjacent streets outside the hotel. On weekends, hotel guests will consume the majority of parking spaces, which make it necessary to inform your guests about off-site parking. Your special events planner will work with you to coordinate parking.
