Graves

Born in Denver, Colorado, and growing up in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Sandy Graves first displayed her work at the county fairs as a 4-H member. As she continued her education, she worked in many different mediums although she fell in love with the warmth and beauty of sculpture, as well as the intimate interactions and contact the viewers have with bronzes. “I see bronze sculpture as being a friendly and beautiful medium. I enjoy watching the public interact with art. In sculpture, viewers can walk around it, touch it, and become part of the artistic expression in a very personal way.”

Each sculpture, whether a long-legged horse, a miniature rabbit, or a group of cyclists in a packed peloton, is carefully finished with unique and elegant patina that augments the whimsy and emotion of each piece.
