The Spa at MacArthur, the Pool, and the Fitness Center are currently undergoing a rejuvenation and the Pool and Fitness Center will remain closed until September 29th. The Spa will continue to provide an array of facial and massage treatments. All three of our culinary experiences, Layla, a Mediterranean-meets-Sonoma inspired restaurant — the cocktail-forward Bar at MacArthur and The Porch coffee shop will continue to provide seasonal dining with farm-fresh ingredients. Call and Response: A Collage Workshop with Artist-in-Residence Christina Watka
As part of our artist-in-residence series in partnership with Uprise Art, we welcome Maine-based artist, Christina Watka to MacArthur Place. In this workshop, Christina will lead participants in an exercise using collage as a tool to engage with the world around us and conjure inspiration. Workshop participants will work with colored paper to create intuitive abstract or representational compositions in reaction to whatever they find inspiring. The workshop is inspired by Christina’s own creative approach to her residency at MacArthur Place of listening to the landscape, letting it distill through her, and using this playful process to open her mind up to new possibilities with shape, composition, balance, and color.
We invite you to participate in this workshop from 5pm – 6:30pm Thursday, April 27th.
Workshop will be held in Coach House Salon 1, is complimentary and wine will be provided. Space limited to 12 guests with prior reservation.
Please RSVP to Dare Sturges.
