We’re teaming up with Banshee Wines on September 17th on the Layla patio for a winemaker dinner that’s anything but ordinary. Delight in an immersive tasting event with six bold wines, six chef-curated stations and Banshee Winemaker Jake Lachowitzer, ready to share the stories (and secrets) behind the bottles. Shape as Metaphor: Symbolism and Meaning Through Form with Artist-in-Residence Hayley Sheldon

  • This event has passed.

As part of our artist-in-residence series in partnership with Uprise Art, we welcome West Palm Beach-based artist, Hayley Sheldon to MacArthur Place. In this workshop, Hayley will share the creative process behind her artwork and lead participants in an exercise inspired by the shapes and textures found amongst MacArthur Place’s gardens and grounds. Using India ink on cotton rag paper, workshop participants will be guided through a painting exercise that uses simple shapes to document their observations of the nature found across the property. Attendees will then cut out and collage their shapes together to explore how different compositions can act as symbolic markers of memory and emotion.

Workshop is complimentary, and wines from Jolie-Laide will be provided. Space limited to 12 guests with prior reservation.

Please RSVP to Dare Sturges.
