Open Studio
with Fanny Allié

We are excited to kick-off our 2021 artist-in-residence series, in partnership with Tappan Collective, with Fanny Allie. Fanny is a talented French-born, Brooklyn-based mixed media artist whose work defies traditional categories and classifications. She deftly incorporates found and hand-dyed fabric, hanging threads, discarded objects and other ephemera into collages and layered textiles united through embroidery. Her works are grounded in figures and physical spaces, yet these everyday elements fuse together to occupy an interstitial or mythical space.

Drawing inspiration from our property grounds and wine country surrounds, Fanny will create a site-specific piece for MacArthur’s permanent collection. We invite you to drop in for an open studio visit Monday March 29 from 11am-1pm to meet Fanny and see the artist in her element.

Please limit to 8 guests in the studio at once and masks are required. Email lparlato@macarthurplace.com with any questions.
