Twelve Festive Nights
Celebrate the advent of the holidays in Sonoma with a 12-night festive series of marvel and wonder-filled moments at MacArthur Place. Each day reveals a different experience that piques the curiosity, awakens the senses and connects the community. The 12-night (& day) series takes place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday beginning on Friday, November 29th with a unique and enchanting experience each afternoon or evening, culminating on Sunday, December 22nd. We welcome hotel guests and the local community to experience these marvelous Sonoma holiday events.
We also invite you to experience the Twelve Festive Nights programming at each of our sister properties – Hotel Californian (Santa Barbara), Farmhouse Inn (Forestville), Hotel Les Mars (Healdsburg), Black Walnut Inn & Vineyard (Dundee, Oregon), and at Wharekauhau Country Estate (Palliser Bay, New Zealand). Each Friday evening – November 29, December 6, December 13, & December 20 will align across all hotels.

Pours at the Porch: Holiday Edition with Foley Family Wines & Spirits

Kivelstadt Cellars Pop-up
November 30, 2024 @ 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Our fun and festive friends at Kivelstadt Cellars will host a holiday pop-up highlighting fan favorites from their portfolio (they’re known for their Rhone-style wines, interesting Mediterranean varietals such as Carignane and Charbono, as well as bright expressions of mainstays such as Sauvignon Blanc) paired with scrumptious bites by our culinary team. Valley of the Moon Chamber Ensemble

The Valley of the Moon Chamber Ensemble brings together an inspired mix of classic and contemporary sounds, crafting performances that resonate with elegance and creativity. Their repertoire gracefully intertwines beloved holiday music with jazz-infused and modern pieces, creating an atmosphere that celebrates the warmth of the season while showcasing musical innovation. With each performance, they invite listeners to experience the beauty of tradition and the joy of new interpretations in holiday music. No reservations; first come, first served.
Live Music: Sean Carscadden

For the second Friday of the series, we have invited local legend Sean Carscadden, to perform a live set in The Bar at MacArthur. No reservations; first come, first served.
Volo Chocolate Pop-Up & Tasting
December 7, 2024 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Jeff and Susan Mall of Volo Chocolate discovered their passion for chocolate while living and working as chefs in Mexico. They started experimenting with flavors, created a “bean-to-bar” craft chocolate recipe and, when they returned to Sonoma County, launched their own artisan chocolate business. They use sustainable chocolate from farmers in Guatemala and Haiti for their handmade chocolate bars (from the 70% Dark Chocolate Meyer Lemon & Extra Virgin Olive Oil to the 65% Chocolate Mocha WOLF Coffee + Cream). Pomme Cider Shop Pop-up

Sonoma’s only cider tap room and bottle shop, Pomme Cider Shop is home to 18 taps and over 100 different ciders from the west coast and across the globe. Owners Rick and Jessica will share pours of a few of their favorite artisan producers along with some zero-proof apple cider. No reservations; first come, first served.
Hot Toddy with Charles Goodnight Bourbon

For the third Friday of the series, sip on the MacArthur take on classic Hot Toddy cocktail with our partner, Charles Goodnight Bourbon at the Bar at MacArthur. Guaranteed to put one in a festive and cozy mood! No reservations; first come, first served.
Hand-Painted Ornament Workshop with Artist Alex Cole

Let’s get into the holiday spirit, gather together and get back to the art of the handmade gift, no art experience necessary. Local Sonoma painter and mixed media artist, Alex Cole, will guide you step by step to create one of a kind heirloom ornaments and gift cards for the Holidays complete with a gift box. Your thoughtfully made gifts can be kept for personal merriment or gifted to a special someone this holiday season. Come away with two finished ornaments per person. Wolf Coffee Workshop

Join Wolf Coffee owner and Roast Master Nick Castelli for an exclusive coffee tasting & paired bites experience.Take a seat with Nick, who will share his expertise in sourcing and roasting premium coffee, unveiling the craft and care that goes into each batch. Begin with an in-depth look at traditional coffee “cupping,” a sensory experience where you’ll explore a selection of coffees across the roasting spectrum. Discover the nuances between light, medium, and dark roast profiles and gain the insight to distinguish flavors that resonate with your own taste. Hanson Espresso Martinis with Wolf Coffee

For the fourth and final Friday of the series, we partnered up with two local Sonoma companies, Hanson of Sonoma & family owned and operated Wolf Coffee to serve up everyone’s favorite – Espresso Martinis – at the Bar at MacArthur. Sip, chat, and be merry with Nick & Natasha, the husband and wife duo and next generation of the Wolf Coffee business & our lovely partners at Hanson. No reservations; first come, first served.
Meet Santa Claus

The one and only Santa (real beard and all!) along with his favorite elf helper will take center stage in the lobby of MacArthur Place on Saturday afternoon. Come and whisper your holiday wishes to Father Christmas, you will then have four days to ensure your spot on the nice list. No reservations; first come, first served.
Luxe Hot Chocolate Cart

The Twelve Festive Nights Sonoma holiday events have been created to bring the spirit of the season alive for MacArthur guests, Sonoma locals, and visitors alike. The Bar at MacArthur and Layla are open and accepting reservations each evening, so we invite you to stay for a seasonal cocktail or a bite after each Twelve Festive Nights event.
